Sorry I've been MIA! Been training a lot in dance, and last semester I took a millinery class that kicked my butt. I also learned how to sew! I'll put up some pictures in the next post.
Here's what House of Dangerkat did for F/W 2010 NY fashion week
MAWU was asked to perform at the Mop Top 20th anniversary. They are the pioneers of house and hip hop and house dance, and the people who taught and inspired us to get into these styles of dance. We were truly honored to participate in this historic show.
Some rooftop afterparty that we shut down because we brought the generator and started blasting music
PPQ afterparty. Me holding 2 different pairs of shoes, and wearing 2 different pairs on my feet! I was in the middle of changing my shoes while we were waiting in line to get into the party. No more black lipstick because we just ate Japanese food.
I went to London to work with House of Dangerkat to promote Nova Dando's Rainbow Collection. We performed at the Hospital Club and opened up for La Roux, and we did a guerrilla fashion show for the people waiting in line to get into the PPQ show.
Christine Gatchalian aka Tine Machine is a 'nuclear explosion packed in a 4'10" being'. She is a currently lighting TD at Blue Sky Studios. Tine has worked on movies such as Horton Hears a Who, Ice Age 2 & 3, The Stepford Wives, The Mask 2, Hellboy and The Matrix: Revolutions. She is an avid house/jazz/tap/waacking/vogue/new york hustle/street jazz/hip hop dancer, and loves getting down with the girls from her crews MAWU and FMinit. She also collaborates with the House of Dangerkat as a dancer/choreographer.
When she's not doing all that, she photographs girls who are a foot taller than her, and makes hats.
